There are 26 children in our family and we have divided them into two groups for teaching. The first group is 3rd grade and below and the second group is for ages 4th grade and above. Our fundamental goal is to teach the children to acquire English language skills appropriate for their grade level through our basic and secondary courses, including math and science. They receive instruction in additional courses as well since we believe in offering a wide range of curriculum choices.
We place an emphasis on the children learning English because it is an international language, as well as a language recognized throughout Nepal. Having a solid foundation in English is useful for furthering educational opportunities and can be a source of work opportunities in the future.
Local citizens have been hired as tutors, which is a morale and economic booster for the community. We also have been blessed to have talented and enthusiastic volunteers come from all over the world to teach our children. We encourage anyone with a passion for teaching children to volunteer. Volunteers may schedule dates and length of stay for times that are most convenient for them.

Teaching instructions for volunteers
One volunteer at a time is assigned to teach one group of children along with one Nepali guide for the ease of teaching if the volunteer is a non-Nepali language speaker. There shall be a teaching co-coordinator to guide you as you teach the course in progress.
Volunteer’s role
It has been our experience that our children get excited and want to be close with the volunteers. As such, it is not uncommon to see them talking to each other and making noise sometimes. As a teacher you must be tolerant and cannot show any threatening or begrudging behavior. All we expect from volunteers is love and compassion towards the children and the organization. Volunteers from across the world are a very effective source of inspiration for our kids to further their education. Our children are eager and excited to see and talk to teachers that come from localities other than their own.
