Volunteer opportunities opening (offering volunteer opportunity for international volunteer in Himalayan Nepal to work in our non-profit community organization working for poor, impoverished children, orphans) We would like to thank all past volunteers for their generous donations of time, materials, money and of their enduring passion and dedication shown towards our children. For those that haven’t taken advantage of this wonderful opportunity, we invite you to come join us and help make a lasting difference in a young person’s life. Although the goal of our volunteers is to teach our children, we feel that this is a learning exchange. Through your daily interactions with our children, you get a rare glimpse into our rich heritage, our cultural traditions and are able to sample the local cuisine when staying with your host family. This can also be a voyage of self-discovery if you open your hearts and experience everything this opportunity provides. We not only try to utilize each volunteer’s strengths but also try to offer a congenial environment so that they can have a joyous experience. Volunteers can teach individually or join as a group. We have both junior and senior groups...More»
Teaching (volunteers, teachers needed to teach, teaching poor children in on volunteeing basis in samarpan Nepal - nonprofit community organization working for poor, disadvantaged children, orphans) There are 26 children in our family and we have divided them into two groups for teaching. The first group is 3rd grade and below and the second group is for ages 4th grade and above. Our fundamental goal is to teach the children to acquire English language skills appropriate for their grade level through our basic and secondary courses, including math and science. They receive instruction in additional courses as well since we believe in offering a wide range of curriculum choices. We place an emphasis on the children learning English because it is an international language, as well as a language recognized throughout Nepal. Having a solid foundation in English is useful for furthering educational opportunities and can be a source of work opportunities in the future. Local citizens have been hired as tutors, which is a morale and economic booster for the community. We also have been blessed to have talented and enthusiastic volunteers come from all over the world to teach our children. We encourage anyone with a passion for teaching children to volunteer. Volunteers may schedule dates and length of stay for times that are most convenient for them...More»
Orhpahage (volunteer opportunity in Nepal Himalaya in orphan home/orphanage) Samarpan Nepal has a dream of opening an orphanage in 2010 with the help of philanthropists. We are seeking generous support of sponsorships or donations from all who desire to help bring this dream to fruition sooner. We expect to accept orphans from various locations throughout Nepal. Most of these children have become orphans as a result of civil war (so-called insurgency) or abandonment by parents. Many are left to fend for themselves on the streets by becoming beggars, pickpockets, thieves and prostitutes. Some have been left to cruel relatives who utilize them for slave labor in their homes or send them to work in risky businesses such as the brick kilns. In many instances, they are denied basic needs such as adequate food, shelter and medical care. Due to limited resources, we plan on starting out with only 3 children. Samarpan Nepal will take full responsibility of their care and needs with the help of donors, sponsors and volunteers. The children will be provided with a good education, nutritious food, clothing, medical care and accommodation until they reach the age of 17 or they complete high school. Sponsors will receive school and health progress reports. Our children will be in touch with their sponsors. We have not set a minimum dollar amount for sponsorship, since we feel that donations of any kind will contribute to each child’s well-being. Tuition fees may also be sent directly to the school your child is attending. Detailed below are the anticipated costs for each child:...More»
Library (donate us books and materials, support, help donation to our public library for poor children and community in Nepal) In 2009, we established a library for the Samarpan Nepal Children and the local community. We managed to collect books, materials and monetary donations from individuals and organizations from around the world. The purpose of the library is to provide a beneficial learning resource for our children and the community; therefore, we have a wide variety of books and educational materials. Our children are the primary beneficiaries of the resources at the library but anyone from the community is welcome to join. This is an ongoing effort so we are requesting donations of books, other educational materials and money to keep it growing. We could also use sponsors for expenses such as office rent, staff salary or magazine subscriptions. Anyone who wants to help by sending donations of books or other educational materials, please send them to our mailing address...More»
Samarpan Nepal children (community non-profit organization to help poor, needy, unpriviledge orphans, children in Nepal, south Asia) Although we would love to assist more, our current family has 26 children – ages 4 – 12. Most of our children have no particular goals or forethought of what to do with their lives. We strive to offer them hope towards achieving a healthy and stable life by offering them resources to help themselves. Our plan involves offering them a wide range of school curriculum, a diverse group of resources and of course a lot of love. Each child is unique and has specific needs to help them succeed. However, they all have a common thread. They have all come from impoverished families that struggle with the misfortunes that are part of their daily lives. To be part of our program, each child and their circumstances must be evaluated and they must be deemed impoverished by our executive committee. Some of the children have dropped out of school completely. Some are attending comprehensive schools but still need assistance to compete with those in the private education sector. Since education is a key component of their success, we aim to give them as many opportunities as possible to obtain a solid education. We currently do not have sponsorship for all of our children. For those not fortunate enough to have a sponsor, we try to give them extra tutoring free of charge and have established a library as an additional learning resource. Our goal is to provide sponsorship for each child that is part of our family. We are actively seeking individuals that would like to sponsor a child or make any type of donation. Your sponsorship puts an impoverished child on a life altering path towards having a good education and becoming a self-sustaining, productive member of society...More»

Sponsoring opportunities We attempt to provide sponsors for as many children in our family as possible. Sponsorship helps fund their education and provides other basic needs. We also need sponsors for our projects, such as the orphanage, library and general office needs. The Executive board of Samarpan Nepal evaluates the circumstances of each child and decides whether they are eligible for sponsorship. Sponsors receive regular updates about their beneficiary...More»
Samarpan Nepal We are a women led, community nonprofit organization (NGO) working for the poor children and orphans of Nepal. Our nonprofit community organization has been registered in the district of Chitwan, Nepal since 2006, in accordance with the Nepal NGO act 2034 B.S. and is affiliated with the Social Welfare Council Nepal. The members of our team have diverse educational backgrounds, varying ages, gender and work experience but all have the same zeal to fulfill the goals of our organization. The Samarpan Nepal family continues to grow monthly with the addition of each new member, sponsor, donor, volunteer and beneficiary. We are a family by choice, not heritage. We have a single goal - to change the lives of these poor children. To help achieve this we are providing educational services, have opened a library and are in the process of establishing an orphanage. We are always trying to provide educational opportunities and supplies to these underprivileged children, which we are able to do with the donations we collect and sponsorship of our projects...More»
Our Aim Our mission is to provide quality ‘child welfare’, which we hope to achieve through the following three specific ways: 1. To establish the Samarpan Children family. This family will include a combination of the impoverished, lower caste, local children that have minimal education or have dropped out of school. This will be an ongoing effort of providing free educational opportunities with the help of our volunteers. 2. To establish the Samarpan Orphanage. This project will require us to take full responsibility for the care of these children to ensure that they have a better life. This project is currently in the pipeline.2. To open up the Samarpan Library. The library will be open to the Samarpan children and other local people. This is an ongoing effort that will be sustained by soliciting monetary donations and educational materials.
